She Speaks Conference

Do you know about this? Have any of you gone before? I have been stogging
on this site for a few days now trying to find out as much info as possible.

As I told you, in my previous post, God has really been speaking to me. And this conference is all about saying "Yes!" to Him and His calling in your life.

And I really, really want to go! So first I am asking for your prayers, because I am still not sure exactly what my calling is. I know that God has a plan for my life and I know that I have been in a season of preparation for what is to come, but I have no idea... what is to come! I just know enough to be obedient and open to where ever He leads.
(Not that that is too scary or anything!)

I have been encouraged before by others to write a book, (now granted one of those others is my mother) and I have often said that there is a story inside of me trying to find it's way onto the page. I have attempted some writing here and there but never seem to know which direction to go with it...and that is in part what this conference is all about, taking your passions and gaining new direction, finding your voice and effectively reaching people where God has equipped you.
There is an opportunity to win a FULL scholarship to this conference. You can read more about it here. You can even enter to win yourself if you think you might be interested. I am entering and wanted to tell you all about it too. It is put on by the gals at Proverbs 31 Ministries. There are different "tracks" you can take at the conference if you are interested in writing, speaking or leading a women's/young women's minsitry and even how to blog more effectively.
I feel like I still have so much to learn and so far to go and I am so glad that these opportunities exist. Thank you to Lysa TerKeurst and her team for offering this amazing chance to attend. To be honest, this is a little out of my comfort zone and I feel a bit giddy about it all.
But, I am going to keep trusting in the One who has led me this far and hold tightly to His hand... no matter what.

Hey there!
I have heard about this, just through other blogs. I know the Nester and her sister are speaking.
I don't know a whole lot about it though or even where it is. I need to check out your links.
Unfortunately though I've been home with a sick boy today and I'm wiped out. Time to go rest.

I'm so excited for this journey you're on though. It'll be so neat to look back in 6 months...1 year....2 years and see where you have ended up!

I've felt the same way for awhile...friends telling me t write but not really having a direction. I agree that the only thing we can do is hold on tight to God's hand...He will show us our path! Wishing you luck in your ministry and praying for your dream to attend the conference. Best of luck to you!
